A genuine farm holiday – a cosy home away from home.
Our farm is located on the peaceful outskirts of Oberammergau, surrounded by green meadows at the foot of the Ammergau Alps. Our family has lived and worked here for generations, driven by a deep passion for agriculture.
We are not a leisure or activity farm with entertainment programmes or organised events. Instead, we are a living family-run farm where agriculture is still practiced with heart and hands. It’s not about entertainment, but about experiencing the moment – enjoying breakfast on the balcony, taking a walk along the Ammer River, or watching the sunset over the mountains in the evening.
Here, children are free to simply be children – without schedules or hustle and bustle. You can enjoy the peace and quiet, the scent of fresh grass, and unobstructed views of the Ammergau Alps.
Our farm is a place to breathe deeply, let go, and spend time together. A home away from home – genuine, natural, and full of heartfelt moments.

Our farm is located right in the heart of the Ammergau Alps Nature Park. Here, the adventure begins right on your doorstep – whether relaxed or active, alone, as a couple or with the whole family.
Summer
When the meadows are in bloom and the mountains glow in the sunshine, the surrounding area invites you to enjoy unforgettable experiences.
Hiking directly from the farm: for example to our local mountain, the Kofel, with panoramic views over Oberammergau. Or head up to the Kolbensattel – and if you like a bit of speed, you can also enjoy a ride on the Alpine Coaster.
Hiking in the Ammergau Alps: the hiking opportunities in the surrounding Ammergau Alps are almost endless. From easy walks to challenging mountain tours, there is something for everyone.
Cycling & e-biking: beautiful routes through the Ettaler Weidemoos, along the Ammer River or all the way to Lake Plansee in Tyrol.
Cooling off in the water: at the Wellenberg outdoor pool in Oberammergau, in the Ammer River, or at Lake Soier near Bad Bayersoien. A little further away, but just as beautiful, Lake Plansee offers a wonderful place to refresh.
A visit to the mountain pasture: our calves spend the summer on the Soila alpine pasture, and guests are welcome to take a trip up there. Summer here is natural and peaceful, filled with small moments: the sound of cowbells, the gentle rush of mountain streams, and the chirping of crickets in the evening.
Winter
When snow blankets the valley in silence, Oberammergau reveals its cosy and peaceful side.
Cross-country skiing: access to the König Ludwig cross-country ski trail almost right on your doorstep – one of the most beautiful routes in the Alps.
Tobogganing fun: on the snow-covered winter toboggan run at Kolbensattel.
Skiing & snowboarding: at the small, beginner-friendly Kolbensattel ski lift, located directly in Oberammergau.
Winter hiking: wonderful routes such as the Altherrenweg.
Here, winter is still allowed to be winter – crisp, quiet and beautiful.
